INAUGURAL EUROPEAN TOURISM SEASONALITY SUMMIT TO LAUNCH IN SEVILLE
The inaugural European Tourism Seasonality Summit, set to take place on April 7 in Seville, will bring together industry leaders to address the challenges posed by seasonality in European tourism.
The travel and tourism industry is poised to contribute more than $16 trillion to Europe's GDP and support more than 449 million jobs by 2034, according to the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC). However, the rise in demand for sustainable tourism practices has sparked a push to mitigate the negative impacts of high-season travel on local communities while promoting off- and shoulder-season opportunities.
The European Tourism Seasonality Summit, held in partnership between Routes and Low Season Traveller, will unite experts from the travel, leisure, destination, technology, and hospitality sectors to develop strategies for responsible growth by reshaping the seasonality curve.
