Community Based Tourism in The Algarve

This week we speak with the delightful Ana Leal from Domitur Travel in Portugal to learn more about this wonderful region as well as her approach to a truly, community-based form of tourism.

Working with locally owned and run tour companies like Domitur, here at Low Season Traveller, we aim to ensure that the tours and experiences we feature, are locally owned and run in each case.  In this way, more of your tourism cash is going to benefit the local communities and families in the destinations you travel to.  Your money puts food on the table, helps children to get an education and helps protect and preserve the tourism infrastructure for future generations.  In short, your money will serve communities rather than a board of shareholders.
