Chiang Mai: Take your Time and Triple It

Today Honor is joined by Bruce Haxton, travel entrepreneur and owner of The Tuktuk Club in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand.

Yorkshireman Bruce has had travel in his blood since he was 18 – from backpacking around Asia as a teenager to working globally as part of the travel industry. It was 6 years working in Thailand back in the 1990’s that gave him a real passion for South East Asia; this passion is evident throughout the podcast as Bruce gives us an honest and genuine account of what Thailand is like in the Low Seasons.

Typically from May through to October, Thailand’s off-peak seasons are termed as a period of rejuvenation and growth. Bruce claims that Northern Thailand is for the real adventurer, for people who want to see the real Thailand. From cycling through the mountains to sitting by the river’s edge eating street food; Chiang Mai really is the gateway to the North.
