Described by The Sunday Times recently as ‘the best driving holiday in the world,’ The Tuk Tuk Club gives you a chance to see a side of Thailand that few travellers ever see. Think winding mountain roads, towering forests, elephant camps, jungle cookery, hill tribe stays and so much more!
Just like us here at Low Season Traveller, responsible and ethical travel is in the Tuk Tuk Club’s DNA: everything is run and provided by local people, including a local elephant home which needs your help. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, MaeVang Elephant Home has had no visitors and therefore no income to feed their elephants. MaeVang Elephant Home, is a fantastic small organisation that has been looking after its family of 8 elephants for years. They allow small private groups of visitors, including guests of the Tuk Tuk Club to learn and experience the real beauty of these wonderful animals first hand.
With the aim of raising enough money to feed the elephants and their carers (Mahouts) for 3 months, Bruce is going to cycle, alone, over 2,300km’s in 20 days at the beginning of May 2021 (The height of Thailand’s summer).
