Andermatt – Come for the adventure, stay for the serenity

This week Kate is joined by Lars Werner from the Raddison Blue Hotel in Andermatt and they discuss the wonders this famous ski town has to offer when there is no snow on the ground.

Huddled in the Swiss Alps this town of only 1,200 people allows low season travellers to escape the busy life and take a breath of fresh air. There are over 850km of walking trails stemming out from Andermatt, from easy day hikes to tougher overnight hikes for the more adventurous – but yes, all hikes have inclines! Instead, you could take the cable car up the mountain and slowly meander down while taking in the glorious views from the top. If not walking, then you can hire a bike and try out one of the many cycling trails.

Andermatt has a charm to it, peaceful, stunning and so wonderfully serene during the low season.

You can check out Lars’ wonderful Radisson Blu Andermatt here. And don’t forget, we have the best prices available because enquiries made via Low Season Traveller, go directly to the property, which means you can also avail of direct specials like room upgrades.  In addition, 50% of the profit will go towards local worthwhile community projects which means that you will be leaving a positive legacy behind too.
