A Hotel inside the Corallina Coast
The Hotel Ollastu is located within the residential area of the Costa Corallina, a coastline of particular beauty between Porto San Paolo and Porto Istana, whose bay is part of the Marine Protected Area of Tavolara and Molara. Located on a promontory facing the sea, the Hotel offers one of the best views of the island of Tavolara and allows to easily access the nearby beaches on foot or through the free shuttle service.
The Hotel consists of a main building where main services are set – reception, breakfast room, TV room, restaurant and bar – and of a wide area of flowery gardens and lawns inside which all rooms are located in separate groups. Oudoor common areas are instead the main pool garden with panoramic view of Tavolara island, overlooked by the Pool Bar, and the Jacuzzi area inside the event garden, together with the solarium, fitness corner and various relaxation areas.
History
For over twenty years the Grillotti family has lived in this little piece of paradise that is the Costa Corallina, in love with its peace, scents and sea. With passion and dedication the owners Carlo and Fulvia made this place their own, by slowly in time changing the first existing structure into the impressive and comfortable Hotel Ollastu, that owes its name to the big centenarian olive tree located opposite the main entrance.
This strong initial mark is today supplemented by the work of the new generation, who contributes to the management of the family-run Hotel. Always according to the philosophical line that pursues the excellence of service in every sector, they expand the offer of services through the development of new business project, like for example the reopening of the historic restaurant La Corona, located on the island of Tavolara. The daughter Tamara and the sons Edoardo and Matteo Grillotti personally take care of the various aspects related to the reception, restaurant and administration, also contributing in the areas of web and marketing.
The strength of the Ollastu lies exactly in its family heart, the people and relationships that connect it and make it a synonym of warmth and quality of service.
Origin of the name
It’s the big olive tree that can be admired in front of the main entrance to have inspired the name of the hotel. In the Sardinian gallurese, the term ollastu indicates exactly this plant that is typical of the Mediterranean maquis. It has been growing on this ground for centuries and for over 25 years now welcomes our customers.
