Winter highlights at Mt Pilatus
As if the ride in the panorama gondola wasn’t spectacular enough. The panoramic view over the mountains of Central Switzerland and Lake Lucerne is now joined by a culinary delight. Float up into the air and feast on the delicious cheese fondue during the gondola ride from Kriens over Fräkmüntegg and back to Krienseregg. After the approximately 45-minute cheese feast, you will have numerous opportunities to discover Mount Pilatus. For example with a nice snowshoe hike, a sleigh ride or a pleasant walk back to Kriens
There is much more to discover on the mountain with 2132 possibilities above sea level. In Restaurant Fräkmüntegg, you can feast “à discretion” from the Tatarenhut on Saturdays this winter. With meat in different varieties, sauces and various side dishes, hunger is satis- fied. The Sunday brunch, also in the Fräkmüntegg restaurant, provides the perfect end to the week. Summit dreams
An overnight stay at 2132 meters above sea level is also a unique experience. Nowhere do the stars shine more intensely and the sunrises are more spectacular than on Pilatus Kulm. So close to Lucerne and yet in a completely different world. On request, a theme room pro- vides additional ambience. The entertainment room offers first-class entertainment with clas- sic game consoles and Netflix access, and in the snow-covered, cozy winter room you are right in the middle of winter paradise
Action Packed Winter at Pilatus
On the Pilatus you will find a great offer for winter sports fun. The various downhill slopes made of natural snow invite you to a sledding adventure. Here, big and small snow lovers can really get going.
Sledding and tobogganing
Two sledding runs with a total length of 8 kilometers between Fräkmüntegg and Krienseregg are prepared. The fast ride through the snow is possible with different sledges: Sled “family flizzer” or Ghosky sled “Rebel” and new the sport sled “Bergfink” can be rented on site at the valley station in Kriens. The same applies to the inexpensive sledding day pass
Snowshoeing trails
This winter season there are three marked snowshoe trails between Krienseregg and Fräkmüntegg. On these, nature and tranquility can be experienced up close in the unique winter landscape. Snowshoes can be rented on location
